Croton-on-Hudson Police Department officers treated Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School students to the important message that safety comes first in the village during Halloween.
Detective Paul Camillieri and Police Officer T.J. Leonard visited every class at CET on Thursday to discuss safety during Saturday’s festivities. They asked children not to go into anyone’s house, have their parents check the candy they collect and be careful when crossing the street.
Each student received a Halloween coloring placemat, a safety bookmark that read “Be smart, be seen, have a safe Halloween,” and a glow-in-the-dark canvas bag for trick-or-treating.
