Croton-Harmon High School’s basketball program, building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, hosted Hoops for Heroes on Sunday, Jan. 31.
The event was expanded from last year’s effort to include five varsity games and a junior varsity game, held throughout the day. Local veterans were the guests of honor for the special occasion and recognized throughout the day. Additionally, fundraisers were held to benefit two non-profit organizations: The Barry Fixler Foundation, which offers assistance to wounded veterans, and Hope for the Warriors, which provides support to military families.
