HS Named in Washington Post’s Most Challenging List

Croton-Harmon High School has been identified by The Washington Post as one of America’s Most Challenging High Schools. Croton-Harmon High School was listed as the 63rd most challenging high school in New York, the 119th most challenging high school in the northeast region and 809th out of the nation’s approximately 22,000 high schools. The Washington Post’s criteria for the annual list includes the total number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Advanced International Certificate of Education tests given at the high school each year; divided by the number of graduating seniors. “The Croton-Harmon Schools are proud to again be home to one of America’s Most Challenging High Schools,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Edward R. Fuhrman, Jr. “This recognition is a testament to our outstanding high school faculty and staff who work tirelessly to provide the best opportunities for our students. Croton-Harmon High School students consistently move on to some of the best higher education institutions in the country and world.”
