The Croton-Harmon School District welcomed 19 students and two teachers from sister school Jian Ping High School in Shanghai this week. “This is part of a longstanding exchange relationship and partnership between our two high schools,” said Croton-Harmon High School Assistant Principal Mark Maxam.
The Shanghai students visited classes throughout the district and made trips to New York City, Washington, D.C. and Boston. They visited area Ivy League colleges, including Harvard University and Yale University, and did some sightseeing at U.S. landmarks. In Croton-on-Hudson, the students stayed with host families and enjoyed daily excursions around the area.
“This spring, we will be sending 15 students and two administrators to visit their school in Shanghai,” said Maxam.
